Notes

380 Head of Cattle & Calves

267 Store & Breeding Cattle.

267 Store and Breeding Cattle
A marvellous entry for the time of year, which included a special entry of 80 cattle for JW Bickell, generally met a pleasing outcome for sellers amongst difficulties faced by feeders in the prime cattle market. Some smaller plainer types are a bit more of a struggle than they would have been in the spring. Better shaped or stronger cattle ready for finishing faced a lot of competition from farmer buyers and feeders.Mr Bickell had plenty of bidders for his with Sim x Steers at 960 & Lim x Hefs at 850. Top spot again went to Jack Peacock with Lim x Steers 15-17m.o to 1110 from 1045 to av 1078.
