STORE CATTLE

We had more Cattle from one man than a lot of Markets are getting in total at the moment !!
The Man from Essex had another fantastic run of quality Suckler Bred Store Cattle, which yet again drew praise from the most experienced Cattle Men for the way they are presented for sale.  My job was the easiest in the world with prospective buyers falling over themselves to bid - in fact, at one stage we had 10 buyers trying to bid at once for one lot !
It just goes to show that the old adage quality always sells still holds.
It was true that we had some major buying power missing, however some new ones appeared and we still had the King of the North and the Beast from the East to battle it out. These were a bit smaller than the first draw last time, but that did not make any difference to our fighting buyers and resulted in an overall average that greatly exceeded expectations. I repeat - do not underestimate the locals.
We were also in quality street with a superb run of cattle from Mr. White of Norton, with both Steers and Heifers selling to £2,100
